Roberto Herrera is a director and country manager of Interenergy Group for the Dominican Republic. At AMCHAMDR, in addition to his functions as president, he heads the Organizing Committee for the Dominican Week in the United States.

 

Roberto Herrera is a director and country manager of Interenergy Group for the Dominican Republic. He is a member of all the boards of directors and chief executive of the companies managed by Interenergy Group in the Dominican Republic as follows: Compañía de Electricidad de San Pedro de Macorís (ENERGAS), Consorcio Energético Punta Cana-Macao (CEPM), Compañía de Electricidad de Bayahibe (CEB), Grupo Eólico Dominicano (GEDOM), Interenergy Systems and the telecommunications company ACTIVA.

He is also a member of the Executive Committees of the National Council of Private Enterprises [Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada](CONEP), the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic [Asociación de Industrias de la República Dominicana](AIRD) and the American Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR), of which he is also Chairman of the Board of Directors.

He holds a degree in Economics with a master’s in business administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and a Master’s in Business Economics from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, where he was a Chevening Scholar.
